The Professional Edition is the self-service Wherobots plan. Every new Organization sign-up starts on a free Professional Edition trial and continues on the Professional Edition once a payment method is on file. Upgrading beyond the Professional Edition means moving to the Innovation Edition or the Enterprise Edition. Both are only available through a contract with Wherobots and are arranged with our sales team rather than in Wherobots Cloud. For a detailed comparison of available plans, see Wherobots Pricing or Organization Editions.
Looking to add a credit card or an AWS Marketplace subscription? That isn’t an upgrade — the Professional Edition is the plan you’re already on. To unlock the full set of Professional Edition runtimes and continue after your free trial, see Add a Payment Method.

Before you start

Upgrading to a contract edition requires the following:
  • A Wherobots account with the Admin role. You must have the credentials to log in to the Organization that you wish to upgrade. For more information on Roles, see Organization Roles.
  • Your Organization ID, which the Wherobots team uses to identify the Organization being upgraded. To find it, go to Organization Settings.
Contract editions are not self-service. Once your Organization is on a contract edition, the Billing section of Organization Settings shows a “Contact Sales to Manage Subscription” link instead of self-serve billing controls.

Applying an Organization upgrade to active runtimes

After your Organization plan changes, you must stop and restart any active runtimes to access your new resources (for example, paid datasets). To apply the upgrade to a workload like a Notebook, Job Run, or SQL Session:
1

Save your work

Stopping a runtime will discard any unsaved changes.
2

Stop the current runtime

Go to Organization Settings and click Destroy on any active runtime.
3

Start a new runtime

Go to Organization Settings and start a new runtime. Your new runtime will now have access to the features and resources associated with your upgraded Organization.
You will now have all the features and access rights associated with your upgraded Organization.

Need more compute on the Professional Edition?

You don’t need a contract edition to get more compute. If you need larger runtimes, more concurrent runtimes, or a longer runtime time-to-live on the Professional Edition, see Compute requests.
