ST_ReducePrecision (Python)

Reduce the precision of the coordinates in geometry to a specified number of decimal places. SQL reference: ST_ReducePrecision

    precision: Union[ColumnOrName, int],
) -> Column

Parameters

ColumnOrName

required

Geometry to reduce the precision of.

Union[ColumnOrName, int]

required

Number of decimal places to reduce the precision to as either an integer or integer column, 0 reduces precision to whole numbers.

Returns

Column

Geometry with precision reduced to the indicated number of decimal places as a geometry column, empty geometry if an invalid precision is passed.
