# ST_Geocode (Python)

> Return a geocode result for the given location string.

Return a geocode result for the given location string.

Geocoding is not generally available. Calling this raises unless the cluster was
launched with `spark.sedona.geocode.enabled=true`; setting it on the session with
`spark.conf.set` has no effect.

@param location: Location string to geocode

## Signature

```
