# GeoDataFrame.count_coordinates

> Return a Series of dtype('int') with the number of coordinate tuples in each geometry.

Return a `Series` of `dtype('int')` with the number of
coordinate tuples in each geometry.

## Signature

```python theme={"system"}
count_coordinates()
```

## Returns

<ResponseField name="return" type="Series(int)" />

## Examples

>>> from sedona.spark.geopandas import GeoSeries
>>> from shapely.geometry import Point, LineString, Polygon
