# GeoDataFrame.copy

> Make a copy of this GeoDataFrame object.

## Signature

```python theme={"system"}
copy(deep=False) -> GeoDataFrame
```

## Parameters

<ParamField path="deep" type="bool" default="False">
  This parameter is not supported but just a dummy parameter to match pandas.
</ParamField>

## Returns

<ResponseField name="return" type="GeoDataFrame">
  A copy of this GeoDataFrame object.
</ResponseField>

## Examples

>>> from shapely.geometry import Point
>>> from sedona.spark.geopandas import GeoDataFrame
```
