# Wherobots client

> The top-level client that holds one API connection for files, tasks, and task runs.

## Wherobots

Top-level Wherobots client.

Built from `WherobotsConfig` (or the environment), it owns one API
connection shared by every surface it exposes. Close it, or use it as a
context manager, to release that connection.

#### Parameters

**config** `WherobotsConfig | None` (default: None)

Configuration to use; `None` reads it from the environment.

**api\_key** `str | None` (default: None)

Overrides the configured API key.

**region** `Region | str | None` (default: None)

Overrides the configured region (a `Region` or its name).

The Files surface (`wb.files.my_files`, `wb.files.drive(...)`).

### task\_runs

Runs of your organization's tasks (`wb.task_runs.get(...)`).

The tasks your organization can run (`wb.tasks.list()`, `wb.tasks.run(...)`).

### close()

close() -> None
```

Close the API connection.
